A Year of St. Joseph

In the context of the Coronavirus Pandemic,  Most Rev. Frank J. Dewane, Bishop of the Diocese of Venice in Florida,  has proclaimed a “Year of St. Joseph” until March 19, 2021.  Pope Francis has now requested the entire the Catholic Church celebrate a year of honoring St. Joseph as well, so the year will continue through December 8, 2021.

This “Year of St. Joseph” also coincides to commemorate the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph being solemnly declared Patron of the Catholic Church by Pope Pius IX in his decree Quemadmodum Deus.
