Death Penalty Prayer Vigils

Death Penalty Prayer Vigils - Governor Rick Scott has scheduled an October 5 execution for Cary Michael Lambrix, a Death Row inmate convicted of killing Aleisha Bryant and Clarence Moore in 1983. Prior to Lambrix\'s scheduled execution, Catholic faithful and other concerned Floridians will gather in prayer in locations around the state. Within the Diocese of Venice, prayer vigils will take place at the following locations on Thursday, October 5:
• 6:00 p.m., St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 1922 SW 20th Avenue, Cape Coral;
• 2:30 p.m. Holy Hour for Life with prayers and Eucharistic adoration until 5:00 p.m., St. Andrew Parish, 2628 Del Prado Blvd. S., Cape Coral;
• 6:00 p.m., St. Raphael Parish, 2514 Lee Blvd., Lehigh Acres;
• 5:30 p.m., St. Joseph Parish, 3000 26th St. West, Bradenton;
• 5:30 p.m., San Pedro Parish, 14380 Tamiami Trail, North Port;
• 5:00 p.m., St. Catherine Parish, 820 Hickory St., Sebring.
