(Florida Catholic) – To help serve and support the unique spiritual needs of women and men the Diocese of Venice is sponsoring two dynamic conferences in the coming weeks.

The Fourth Annual Diocese of Venice Women’s Conference and Men’s Conference will both have exciting speakers who will address relevant spiritual topics that effect today’s Catholic women and men.

Bishop Frank J. Dewane said he hopes the momentum built by those who attended the conferences in the past several years continues.

“Each year there is a tremendous response and excitement from the women and men who attend these conferences,” Bishop Dewane explained. “We expect that enthusiasm to continue as the conferences continue to bring a fresh and engaging perspective of the Catholic Faith for those who attend. I encourage women and men, young and old to attend. Mothers should bring their daughters and fathers should bring their sons. This is a unique opportunity that should not be missed by anyone.”

The Men’s Conference is Saturday, Feb. 25 and the Women’s Conference is Saturday, March 10. Both conferences are at Bishop Verot High School, 5598 Sunrise Drive in Fort Myers. Registration for the conferences begins at 8 a.m., with the day formally beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding with a 2 p.m. Mass celebrated by Bishop Dewane and concelebrated by priests of the Diocese of Venice.

The Men’s Conference speakers include Florida Marlins’ World Series Manager Jack McKeon, Doug Barry, Raymond DeSouza and others.

The “Women of Faith… Women of Action” Conference speakers include Father Leo Patalinghug, Johnette Benkovic, Mary Jo Anderson and others.

In addition to the internationally acclaimed speakers, there will be opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, fellowship and the purchase of Catholic videos and publications.

The conferences are $20 for adults and $5 for students (scholarships are available) in advance; and at the door, tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students. The cost includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
