“Share the Journey” is being led in the United States by several USCCB Committees, including the Committee on Migration, boards of directors of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Catholic Charities USA.  Here in the U.S., the campaign will focus on those who have come to our country to build a better life.  It will also focus on the work of the universal Church in response to refugees, poverty reduction and improved opportunities so people can remain in the countries where they live.

Within the Diocese, there will be social media initiatives which will include personal stories of migrant families from the area. This campaign is a two-year effort and the Diocese will be announcing future initiatives as plans are finalized. At the same time, Diocesan Catholic schools will also be participating in the effort, which is called “Creating on the Margins,” with interactive projects, so that each student will learn about the plight of young immigrants and refugees.
