The documents preserved in the diocesan archives are records of the spiritual and temporal government and affairs of the Church of Venice and represent a precious heritage. The purpose of the archives is to collect, preserve, and make available for research the official records of the diocese and those ancillary records which reflect the work of the church within the diocese.
