Catholic Mass in Honor of Veterans

An invitation from Bishop Frank J. Dewane:

I take this opportunity to cordially invite all to join me on Veterans Day in the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11th in the Amphitheater at the Sarasota National Cemetery.

This annual Catholic Mass to commemorate Veterans Day has become a tradition in the Diocese and is held to honor veterans. Gathering as one nation under God, we honor and remember our veterans, both living and deceased. Military service personnel, active and retired, are encouraged to wear their uniforms to Mass; let us honor you.

Join me as we pray for the souls of our faithfully departed veterans as well as for those in the military and all who have worked to protect our freedoms.

I look forward to seeing you on Veterans Day! God bless all of you!

Bishop of the Diocese of Venice in Florida
