The Chancellor is to perform the canonical duties outlined in Canon Law. Beyond the canonical requirements of the office, the Chancellor is responsible for other administrative duties as assigned by the Bishop.

The Chancellor’s general responsibilities include assisting the Bishop in overseeing the administration of all diocesan Catholic Center departments and diocesan policies. The Chancellor serves as liaison to the Bishop and as his representative to various diocesan entities.
