The Environmental Justice Commission under the direction of Bishop Dewane has initiated a diocesan wide project encouraging all parishes to become examples to our communities by taking seriously the need to reduce the amount of garbage we put into the waste stream.

“You shall not defile the land in which you live, in which I also dwell.” Numbers 35:34a

All parishes are encouraged to complete a survey about how they recycle and what the Environmental Justice Commission can help the recycling effort for each parish.  The EJC will collate the responses and design resources to meet the needs of parishes.  Parishes are also encouraged to share their “best practices” and success stories which will be posted on this website.
