Youth & Young Adult Retreats
In the Diocese of Venice, we seek for spiritual retreats to be true encounters with Christ—moments where young people and young adults can step away from daily routines to hear God’s voice and rediscover the meaning of their faith. The Diocese strives to provide experiences that strengthen sacramental life, inspire commitment to the Church, and awaken a missionary spirit, so that each participant returns to their community renewed, with a heart on fire and ready to witness the Gospel.
Retreats for Middle School Students
During the middle school years, young people begin asking deeper questions about their identity, friendships, and purpose in life. Retreats at this stage provide a safe space where they can experience the joy of faith and discover that God knows them and loves them personally. Through activities, prayer, and teaching, these gatherings help to lay a solid foundation that prepares them to face adolescence with Christian confidence and hope.
Retreats for High School and Confirmation Students
High School years and the journey toward Confirmation are decisive moments of maturity and discernment. Retreats at this stage are designed to accompany teens as they make the choice to embrace their faith as their own, helping them understand the grace of the Holy Spirit and the mission they receive in the Sacrament. These experiences strengthen their Catholic identity, deepen their life of prayer, and encourage them to be bold witnesses of Christ in their schools, families, and communities.
Retreats for Young Adults
Young adults live a season filled with important decisions: college, vocations, careers, and meaningful relationships. Retreats for this age group aim to shed light on these choices through faith, offering a place of spiritual guidance, authentic friendship, and deeper formation. They provide opportunities to grow in community, prayer, and mission, encouraging young adults to respond freely and generously to God’s call in every aspect of their lives.
Youth Adoration Nights
The year 2025 provides a special opportunity to renew our faith and Christian commitment through the celebration of the Jubilee under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.” Eucharistic Adoration is a personal encounter with the living Christ, the source and summit of Christian life, and provides the opportunity for young people to reflect on the virtue of hope, reminding them that Christ is the One True Hope. By nurturing their relationship with Christ, youth will be strengthened as witnesses of hope, ready to take an active role in the Church’s evangelizing mission, and bring to life Pope Francis’s call to “be a Church on the move.” May these celebrations become a living sign of God’s love and mercy.
Youth Adoration nights include:
Eucharistic Adoration – Time for silence and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, accompanied by contemplative music.
Inspirational Talks – A message focused on Christian hope and the Jubilee theme.
Confessions – Opportunities for sacramental reconciliation.
