The Accompaniment Project

The Accompaniment Project

The Accompaniment Project, developed by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), is an initiative designed to strengthen leadership and Youth Ministry in Parishes by providing tools and formation to better accompany young people on their journey of Faith.

In the Diocese of Venice, six Parishes have embraced this commitment:

  • Epiphany Cathedral, Venice
  • St. Paul Parish, Arcadia
  • St. Catherine Parish, Sebring
  • Our Lady Queen of Heaven Parish, LaBelle
  • St. Joseph Parish, Bradenton
  • St. Peter Parish, Naples

Through this program, parish leaders and teams receive mentorship, training, and resources to develop vibrant communities that foster discipleship and active participation of young people in the life of the Church.

The Accompaniment Project not only aims to strengthen the relationship between young people and their Parish communities but also promotes innovative Evangelization strategies, ensuring that youth ministry responds to today’s realities and challenges with an authentic and Christ-centered approach.

We are grateful for the dedication of these parishes and their leadership in this process of renewal and growth.

About The National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry

The National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) is committed to advancing the field of pastoral ministry to young people.  The mission of NFCYM  is to support and strengthen those who accompany young people as they encounter and follow Jesus Christ.

NFCYM looks to a future when young people see themselves as children of God who live as missionary disciples of Jesus Christ; when the gifts, struggles and diverse realities of young people are welcomed in Catholic faith communities; when ministry leaders have embraced the joy of the Gospel, and when families are living as the domestic church.

NFCYM commits to advancing the field of pastoral ministry to young people by forming, equipping, and supporting ministry leaders in their service to young people and their families; modeling and fostering a ministry of acompañamiento among young people of all cultures, languages, socioeconomic and geographic realities; and, partnering with parents and equipping families of young people as they witness to Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
