Thanks to new legislation, more families than ever are eligible for the Florida Tax Credit and Family Empowerment Scholarship. Families who fall in at least one of these categories may qualify for a scholarship worth up to $7,000 per year per child.

1. Higher Income Levels:

• Beginning this year, families who earn up to 400% more than the federal poverty household income threshold may be eligible for this scholarship. For example, a family of four earning up to $99,375 may qualify.

2. Siblings of Special Needs Students:

• Siblings of students participating in the Family Empowerment Scholarship, including siblings of students who are eligible based on a special need.

3. Military Dependents:

• Dependent children of a U.S. military service member who is
