Every year, the Environmental Justice Commission of the Peace and Justice Office and the Education Department of the Diocese of Venice collaborate in sponsoring a contest for students throughout the Diocese on a theme related to the social justice teachings of the Catholic church. One of the seven pillars of the social justice teachings is “Caring for God’s Creation.”
The topic this year is “How can each of us as Catholics in the Diocese of Venice share in the care of God’s gift of nature so that the children of God in the future will also be able to enjoy and benefit from our environment without hunger?” Information is available through your Catholic School or your parish DRE.
