The Communications Department strives to show Christ alive in the world! Our mission is to share with the faithful of the Diocese of Venice how Christ is alive here in the Diocese, and to invite others into the Bishop’s work.
Communications Department services include public relations, advertising, social media content, media relations, community information, and special projects for print, radio and television.
The Communications Department:
- Promotes Bishop Initiatives
- Produces a weekly TV Sunday Mass for the homebound
- Produces Witnessing Faith with Bishop Dewane, a monthly radio program on Relevant Radio
- Publishes The Florida Catholic, Venice Edition, a weekly digital newspaper
- Manages the Diocesan Flocknote email and text network, a Diocesan communication for the faithful
- Publishes The Mustard Seed, a biweekly diocesan newsletter for parishes
- Issues press releases and statements to the media and responds to media inquiries
- Oversees Diocesan website and social media
