Tonight at 6 p.m at Epiphany Cathedral Catholic Church in Venice will join locations in approximately 2000 cities worldwide which have declared themselves “Cities for Life”, and are committed to ending the death penalty. The World Day of Cities for Life includes the lighting of a building, including the colosseum in Rome and locally, Epiphany Cathedral Catholic Church, to show solidarity for the ending of the death penalty. It is the largest contemporary global mobilization to indicate a higher and more civil form of justice in order to finally renounce the death penalty.
